Lactuca sativa

Extremely slow-bolting summer crisphead with sweet, juicy leaves.

A favorite of Affinity Farm in Moscow, this loose crisphead lettuce sports thick green leaves that blush pink at the tips while forming a center head. One of the best varieties for summer plantings. Batavian lettuces are among our favorites, and this one doesn't disappoint! Open-pollinated.

Directions: For heads, start indoors in early spring and transplant out ASAP, thinning to 12". For baby greens, direct seed spring or early fall in 2” wide bands.
