An excellent fresh and dried cut flower!
Gomphrena, commonly called "Globe Amaranth", is an annual flower that originates from Central and South America. Even though it is a tropical plant by nature, Gomphrena can still handle the dry, hot summers of the Intermountain West. Grow this beautiful little flower for fresh or dried cut flowers! It is a cut-and-grow-again flower and it retains its color when dried.
Planting Directions: Plant indoors 6-8 weeks before last frost and transplant outside after last frost with 9" spacing. Grows up to 18"-24" tall.
Seed grown by Flowers with Rye in Boise, Idaho.
